1/22/2021 Critical Reflection: Question 2

how does your product engage with audiences?

As my targeted audiences are families with the desire to travel, my product uses a variety of techniques in order to incorporate all their questions and concerns. Our targeted audiences predicted interests include choosing destinations, countries and their cultural practices, places with the best food, and financial advice. Although everyone struggles to plan out their vacation, families are known to have the hardest time when deciding to travel, struggling to satisfy everyone while also trying to save as much money possible at the same time. To make sure the product provided the most accurate and beneficial information our audience would like to see, research and surveys were taken place in order to get into the mind of what these families need and how to support them when making the decision of where they should go to next!

how would your product be distributed as a real media text?

My product, a travel magazine, would be distributed through multiple franchises of bookstores. The targeted company that I would aim to become my products main seller is Barnes and Nobles, the bookseller with the largest number of retail outlets in the United States. The magazine would also be distributed throughout stores such as Publix and Target, places where millions of people shop daily. These companies would provide a huge amount of sales in our product, making a great profit. My product would also have its own website online where audiences are able to purchase and download the magazine at any time and have access to it 24/7. This makes it more convenient for consumers to buy the product as they do not have to go out of their way and search for it in stores, making it more likely that they will purchase it.
